President – Dr. Anastasia Brown

Dr. Anastasia Brown – SAC Class of 1989 Alumni & Current SAC Alumni Association President
Anastasia Brown, a proud member of the SAC Class of 1989, has been a driving force within the SAC Alumni Association for many years. Serving under past Presidents Gino Nairn, Samantha Culmer-Kemp, and Cherell Cartwright, Anastasia has demonstrated unwavering dedication to her alma mater. As one of the key leaders of the SAC Class of 1989, she has successfully organized numerous class reunions over the past three decades, fostering a strong sense of community among her peers.
Anastasia’s love for SAC is evident in her commitment to the Alumni Association, where she now serves as the President. Her leadership extends beyond SAC, as she is also the 1st Vice-President of the Union of Tertiary Educators of The Bahamas (UTEB), where she passionately advocates for the rights and interests of educators across the nation.
At the University of The Bahamas, Anastasia holds the dual roles of Director of Testing and Adjunct Faculty in the School of Business and Hospitality Management. This combination of administrative and instructional responsibilities underscores her deep commitment to the field of higher education.
Anastasia’s career is marked by impressive achievements, including her tenure as the 2nd Vice-President and Assistant Secretary-General of the Public Managers Union, where she championed the interests of public sector employees. Her educational journey is equally commendable, beginning with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education from the University of Georgia, followed by a Master’s degree in Learning and Reading Disabilities from the University of Miami. Her dedication to lifelong learning culminated in a Doctorate in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational Development from Grand Canyon University.
Her extensive teaching experience includes roles as a Business and Computer Teacher at St. Augustine’s College, and as a Business Instructor, Department Head, and Divisional Head for Service Trades at the Bahamas Technical and Vocational Institute. Anastasia has also shared her expertise through part-time lecturing at institutions such as the Bahamas Baptist Community College, BahamaHost, and the Public Service Training Department.
Anastasia Brown’s vision for fostering professional growth, enhancing staff and faculty development, and promoting unity within the academic community is commendable. Her leadership, dedication, and passion for education make her an invaluable asset to SAC, the University of The Bahamas, and the broader educational landscape in the Bahamas.

Vice President – Mr Osbourne Moxey

Osbourne Moxey is a 1996 graduate of SAC and began his undergraduate studies at Morehouse College in Atlanta Georgia (1996). Osbourne completed his studies at Auburn University in Auburn, Alabama in 2002 with a BSc. Degree in Civil Engineering and returned home in 2004 following his participation in the XXVIII Summer Olympiad in Athens Greece. Osbourne is also a past president of Toastmasters Club 1600.
